Smoking black cod can be tricky, this is the best smoked black cod I’ve ever had.
-The flavor is there, the moistness, which is one of my favorite things about black cod… It’s just the perfect amount, it’s flaky, it’s so addictive. It’s ridiculous. This is first class all the way. The price point is excellent.

Ketchikan Sam’s is a family run smokehouse based in Ketchikan, Alaska. We specialize in smoked salmon and smoked black cod, handcrafted in small batches using time honored methods.

What kinds of products do you offer?

Right now, we offer three core products: Red Gold Smoked Salmon, Black Gold Smoked Black Cod, and Ketchikan Sam’s Sampler – A combo pack perfect for gifting or taste testing both!

Where is your fish smoked?

Every piece is smoked right in Ketchikan, at our facility in Herring Cove!

Is your fish wild caught?

Yes. Every fillet we smoke comes from wild, sustainably caught Alaskan fish, sourced through local, responsible fisheries. That’s the only way we do it.

Do you ship?

We do! We ship anywhere in the United States, and we do it for free! Each order is packed with care to ensure it stays fresh, chilled, and delicious when it arrives.

How should I store the smoked fish?

Our smoked fish will arrive frozen and should stay frozen until it is going to be eaten.

Is your smoked fish shelf stable?

No, our fish is ready to eat and vacuum packed, but not shelf-stable. Please keep it frozen until you’re ready to enjoy it.
